Reviews

Foreword: “This is a charming Christmas tale which will delight children and adults alike. Written by Eve when she was 6 years old, with entertaining illustrations by Nicholas Child, readers will be kept guessing right up to the end of the book, with a few twists and turns along the way. This is definitely an ideal gift or stocking-filler this Christmas.”
Cathy Magee, Chief Executive, Dyslexia Scotland

“A MUST READ FOR XMAS
I read this book to my almost 5 year old grandson and he normally gets easily distracted but not this time, he sat and listened to it all the way through and absolutely loved it. A lovely book from start to finish and I thoroughly recommend it.” Amazon 5 Star Review, 27 October 2023

“A FANTASTIC, FUN READ
This is an incredibly fun children’s book perfect for the holiday season – perhaps as an alternative to the Night Before Christmas as a bit of a giggle instead. With illustrations that perfectly compliment the tale of trouble and chaos in the North Pole and aid to bring this tale to life.

Santa Steals Christmas by Eve Nairn-Magnante is one I really believe will become a firm favourite for either families to read together or a child to read on their own. There has been a true dedication to not exclude anyone with a Dyslexia friendly font which I think is wonderful to see as many children don’t get a diagnosis until they’re over seven I believe. This is so refreshing and I would hope that many other publishers or writers such as Eve take note and make reading more accessible.

I highly recommend this book and really wish my children were young enough to appreciate it.

Thank you for creating and sharing a little of your magic, and a lot of your humour with this book. I hadn’t giggled like I did reading Santa Steals Christmas in a while.” Amazon 5 Star Review, 5 December 2023

“A TRUELY MAGICAL CHRISTMAS STORY
This is such a cute, fun read. A perfect book to read along with a young child or for an older child to read to themselves.

The small details in the illustrations make this a great discussion book, and I was constantly noticing details I hadn’t seen on the first read. Mrs Claus doing Yoga, the funny cushions, the diverse characters portrayed.

This is a fun story, easy accessible to readers of all ages and its dyslexia friendly font is a very helpful adaptation for young readers and those with SENs.

A perfect gift, or book to add to a child’s bookshelf that brilliantly captures the magic of Christmas, inclusivity, diversity and joy.

Well done to the young author of this book, Eve is just 13, a wonderful and delightful story.” Amazon 5 Star Review, 8 December 2023

“A CHRISTMAS STORY WITH A TWIST…
My three year old daughter really enjoyed this book – she was hooked from the very mention of a Santa imposter! I can’t say I’ve heard of many of those before now, so this was a nice twist in the story. There’s loads going on in the illustrations for little ones to hone in on, too – she especially liked following the footprints in the snow to find said imposter…

This is one that will be packed away safely for Christmas storytimes for years to come.” Amazon 5 Star Review, 8 December 2023
