Synopsis

Authors Biography
Kenechi Udogu is a Nigerian-born London-based writer and architect. Augmented won the inaugural Imagined Futures Prize for young adult eco science fiction. She was Highly Commended in the FAB Prize and a runner up for the Writers and Artists Yearbook Your Next Obsession in YA Fiction Competition.

It was a page turner. Very relevant to our current world and extremely relatable. The world building is solid and the characters are bold and well written. I was yearning for a book 2 and can definitely see this being turned into a movie or series in the future.

Udogu expertly renders a near future London where climate change has wreaked havoc, with alarming foresight. Dealing with themes of immigration, surveillance and abuse of power, this is a fantastic read and a great introduction to the sci-fi genre for young people!

This is an extraordinary story, the characters, plot and the setting are all powerful and captivating! It feels almost as if the writer has stepped into a future that feels real and authentic. I absolutely loved it and hope there is a book 2 to come!
