A ‘cover to cover’ must read for post war baby boomers in search of some therapeutic nostalgia. For later generations this book provides an excellent insight into coming of age in the 60s, well before the arrival of social media and other distractions of modern life.
It’s all there – the vibrant music scene and fashion of the time, alcohol, cigarettes, fast motorbikes, love and sex – all in colourful detail.
The story is cleverly wrapped in the poignant context of a dying grandmother sharing her life story with her granddaughter

I couldn’t get past the cover since the story is suppose to take place in 60’s but the front cover photo shows a 2010+ era scooter in it. If you can’t get details right, why bother after all.

A great read from beginning to end, and the story line well thought through. It re-lived the 60s in excellent detail, and the references to the songs and groups that led the change in music brought back happy memories.
