Synopsis

‘Everything that touches you…’ This was the soundbite of Radio Victory, one of the first independent radio stations in the UK. It was to become one of the go-to independents with visits from the famous such as Joan Collins, Jagger and Kenny Everett. 1975, Victory’s culture was creative and diverse.

Authors Biography

George East, once a pickled onion manufacturer and pipe fitter, started as a ‘gofor’ at Radio Victory in 1975 and five years later was chief radio producer/programmer, launching his career into the arts and setting him on a path to writing more than 30 book titles.
