|Subtitle||how a fat middle-aged man lost 31 kilos and reversed his type 2 diabetes|
Research at Newcastle University has shown that type 2 diabetes can be reversed. Inspired by that research, Richard Shaw developed a weight loss regime through which he lost 31 kilos and all his diabetes signs. In his new book he explains what worked for him, including tempting low-carb recipes, and might work for others.
Richard Shaw works in communication in the arts and is a former factual TV producer who trained at one of London’s leading cookery schools. When he decided to reverse his type 2 diabetes he was 54, completely sedentary and very overweight. Today, nearly two years on, he weighs just 86 kilos and is completely diabetes free.
